Excavation of contaminated material from Grid cell A1 will be completed this week.

Part of Grid cell A1 has already been validated and has met the clean up criteria set by the Environment Agency and the Council.

Backfiling will soon commence in Grid Cell A1 with excavation of contaminated material then moving to Grid Cell A2.

This process will repeat for Grid Cell A2 when all of the contaminted material has been removed, with excavation then moving to Grid Cell B1.
