Upcoming Works (1February 2010)
We are J McArdle Contracts and we have been appointed to undertake works at Blackamoor Lane, Maidenhead.
Residents will note that we have already had a presence on site over the last few days with preparatory works for the pump trialling in the gravels already having commenced as of 1 February 2010.
We estimate that the pump trialling programme will last for approximately eight weeks.
An updated programme showing the works for the pump trial are shown on the site notice board, and also on the main programme on this website.
The key stages of the work are as follows:
1. Establish site access and set up
2. Japanese knotweed clearance
3. Lagoon construction
4. Construction of outfall to sewer
5. Carry out pump test.
Following completion of this pump test, we will begin to mobilise for the deeper pump test into the chalk.
We will provide a programme for these works in due course.
News Item 2:
Supervising Engineer:
We are RSK and we will be joining McArdle on site as the supervising engineer for the project.
Our engineer will be on site on a permanent basis and will monitor the works done by the contractor.
We will also be responsible for soil testing and validation works as well as the air quality monitoring programme.
We have been involved in work on the site for many years now and will use our experience of supervising similar sites to ensure that this project meets the highest standards.
