WAC testing, or Waste Acceptance Criteria testing allows the main contractor to determine what waste classification the material on site falls into; i.e. whether it is hazardous, stable non-reactive hazardous, non-hazardous, or clean / inert material.

This will determine what tip the material being disposed of goes to and what material can retained on site for stockpiling and re-use.
