There is a hierarchy of monitoring that will be taking place. Whilst we will be monitoring the Main Contractor very carefully, independent monitoring will be carried out, at all stages, by the Council.

The Council will have a full time Environmental Protection Officer actually based on the site. This person will be the ears and eyes of the Council.

There will also be a residents’ Monitoring Group which will have access to all the monitoring data and will be able to evaluate how the monitoring and responses to it are being handled.

We are keen that the monitoring information should be as transparent and accessible as possible. We will be using the website to publish data for everyone to be able to look at and review.
